Premature ejaculation is the condition in which a man ejaculates during intercourse sooner than he wishes. It can negatively affect the sexual satisfaction of the individual or their partner and create tension in the relationship. Premature ejaculation has many possible causes; however, chief among the organic causes is hypersensitivity of the glans (penile head). In this article, we look at glans filler — a non-surgical method targeting this specific sensitivity.

How Does Glans Filler Work?

The glans contains some of the densest nerve endings in the body. In some men, these nerve endings are more sensitive than normal; because the stimulation threshold is low, the ejaculation reflex is triggered earlier than it should be. In glans filler treatment, a hyaluronic acid filler is injected into the most nerve-dense region of the penis. Hyaluronic acid, with its water-binding capacity, creates a buffer (barrier) layer between the nerve endings and external stimuli. Excessive sensitivity is thus brought down to physiological limits and time to ejaculation is extended. The goal is not to eliminate sensation but to restore sensory balance; in most patients, orgasmic sensation is preserved while only ejaculatory control improves.

How Is It Performed?

The procedure is performed in a sterile clinic setting under local anesthesia. Once surface anesthesia is achieved, the hyaluronic acid–based filler is injected evenly into the subcutaneous tissue of the glans using a fine needle or microcannula. The procedure takes on average 15-25 minutes, after which the patient can return to normal life the same day; waiting a few days before sexual intercourse is generally recommended. The filler is biologically temporary, but with repeated applications the duration of the effect may lengthen.

Who Is It Suitable For?

This method is a valuable option particularly for patients whose premature ejaculation is caused by glans hypersensitivity (neurosensory type). However, if premature ejaculation stems from causes such as performance anxiety, erectile dysfunction, prostatitis or hormonal imbalance, filler alone may not be sufficient; combined treatment approaches may be required. A detailed evaluation by a urology specialist before the procedure is therefore essential.

⚠️ Important: Treatments performed without identifying the cause of premature ejaculation will not deliver the expected benefit. The right first step is to clarify the type (lifelong or acquired) and any accompanying problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does glans filler completely numb sensation?

No. The goal is not to eliminate sensation but to bring excessive sensitivity down to physiological limits. In most patients, orgasmic sensation is preserved while only ejaculatory control improves.

How long does the effect of glans filler last?

Hyaluronic acid is a biologically absorbable material, so the effect is temporary rather than permanent. With repeated applications, the duration of the effect may lengthen.

Is it suitable for every patient with premature ejaculation?

No. The method is valuable particularly for premature ejaculation caused by glans hypersensitivity (neurosensory type). In cases driven by performance anxiety, erectile dysfunction, prostatitis or hormonal causes, filler alone may not be sufficient; combined treatment may be required.

How much does glans filler cost?

Under Turkish health regulations, fixed prices cannot be published online. The cost depends on the amount of filler used, the type of product and the individual’s clinical condition. Exact information is provided after examination.
